While FAU was forced to cut nearly $19 million from its budget over the past year, Student Government is starting off the semester with new carpeting, furniture and a paint job.
Last semester, the Boca Raton House of Representatives voted on a bill - titled the "Student Government Facelift" - that let them use $74,800 of student money on the makeover, which was finished up last week.

This event is a combination of two NSU traditions, "Got Wood?" and "NSU Exploration Week." "NSU Exploration Week" took place during the first week of school.

Austin, Texas - Texas quarterback Colt McCoy and the Texas offense torched FAU for 52 points and 503 total yards. McCoy and running back Vondrell McGee ran over and through the FAU defenders nearly at will. Even so, the Owls had chances to score on two of their first three possessions, but handed the ball over to Texas on turnovers both times.

Matt Dolson puts on a hat and heavy jacket - covering all exposed skin - before he steps into the Florida summer heat. He only has to walk about 100 yards from his front door to stand in the place where, three months ago, an explosion nearly killed him.
His recently grafted skin is more sensitive than a newborn's and constricts his limbs in a restrictive embrace.

Being a USF football fan isn't for the fair-weathered or the indecisive. At least, not if that fan is a student hoping to get into Raymond James Stadium for free come game day. With the launch of the University's online ticketing system this fall, students will have to apply early to receive tickets to each home football game and prepare to be punished if they opt out of using them.
